A Hidden Node in a WiFi WLAN is a wireless device that is intended to operate in a cell or area of coverage, but which cannot hear the wireless transmissions of some other nodes, and so intermittently causes interference with them. Hidden nodes degrade the performance of a wireless network, and so need to be identified and corrected by the wireless LAN administrator.
