In Infrastructure mode, a WiFi wireless LAN client mode that requires an access point (AP). Infrastructure Mode is the alternative to Ad-Hoc Mode. Clients operating in Infrastructure Mode pass data through a central access point. The access point manages wireless network traffic in the cell or area of coverage that it sets up (the BSS), and typically allows clients to communicate to and from a wired network.
